The School of Education is the leading university provider of Initial Teacher Education in the North of England. We have a world-leading reputation for excellence in educational research, we are the leading provider of doctoral programmes in the Northwest and, overall, we ranked 6th in the UK and 32nd in the world in the 2012 QS World University League Table.
