Addy Lazz-Onyenobi, RN, RM, FETC, BA(Hons), MEd, PhD

Lecturer

Addy is a lecturer in Community and Youth Studies and has been working in the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Manchester for the past 10 years. Her MEd. and PhD were from University of Manchester. She is presently the Widening Participation Officer, for the centre and her remits afford her the opprtunity to continue to work closely with community groups, particularly those that are under represented at the university, raising their awareness, asipiration and attainment levels and creating opportunity for them to fully participate at every level within the university.

Addy is also an external examiner for community and youth programmes.  Her research interests are in fair access for people from minority ethnic background into Higher Education, and alternative education and youth exclusion. She was recently involved in Manchester Connexions Trials Evaluation Research, conducted by the School of Education.
