Postgraduate research
The School of Education has a large vibrant community of post graduate research students and offers a variety of research programmes for postgraduate students, ranging from PhD and MPhil to professional doctorates in Educational Psychology (DEdPsy), Education (EdD), Counselling (DCouns) and the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology (D.Ed.Ch.Psychol which is accredited by British Psychological Society (BPS)).
Comprehensive research training is provided for all students on research programmes and the School has ESRC recognition for the Master of Science (MSc) in Educational Research and for PhD study. PGR students are actively encouraged to contribute to research activity across the school and many present papers on their research at school based seminars or at national and international conferences.
