Secondary Interview Dates for 2013/14
PGCE Secondary Assessment Centres run over half a day. Successful applicants will be invited to either a morning session from 8.45am - 1.00pm (approx), or an afternoon session from 12.45pm - 5.00pm (approx).
The interview
A talk will be given outlining both the school and university based elements of the course. University tutors and school based mentors are involved in our selection process and candidates will undergo the following interview procedure:
A short teaching task
Subject-specific tasks to assess your subject knowledge
An individual interview based upon a structured set of questions to identify your suitability and commitment to teaching
Candidates will normally be notified of the outcome of their interview within 10 working days.
All assessment centres are held in the Ellen Wilkinson Building, which is on the University's main Oxford Road campus.
We plan to hold interviews for September 2013/14 on the following dates:
